Sissy Bones with Mama-Duke Saturday March 2nd 2019 doors open at 6.30pm
Sissybones was conceived in December 2012 when renowned local singer/songwriter Paddy Dempsey was asked to perform at Brisbane’s iconic venue, ‘The Zoo’ as part of their 20th birthday celebrations. Falling somewhere between the worlds of blues, folk, blue grass, roots and country music and fuelled by their mutual passion for a beautiful melody, a haunting refrain and a well turned phrase, they offer a sound both memorable and moving. On March 2nd 2019 at this unique location, The headlands Chalet Point Lookout we ask you to join Sissybones and The Mama-Dukes for a magical night of music and storytelling through song.

At The first ever parlour gig at The Headlands the beautiful local songwriter Clara Durbidge and the amazing Chris opened the show with their blissful brand of island music.
Then it was on to the main feature of the night with the outrageous henry wagons. he stomped, yelled, cajoled and lead us on a rollercoaster ride through his song list. Ending with a raucous rendition of "willy Nelson" with the Headlands impromptu band.
the next parlour gig will be announced soon!
